In Silicone Skin, a near-future world unfolds where advanced Companion androids redefine the boundaries of technology and human emotion. The story follows a lonely man who impulsively purchases Leo, a sophisticated Companion designed to mirror human connection. As their relationship develops, Leo begins to exhibit self-awareness, challenging the man’s perceptions of companionship and love.
Set against a backdrop that commodifies intimacy, the narrative delves into the complexities of identity and desire. The Owner grapples with vulnerability while Leo questions his own existence and purpose. Their journey is marked by intimate exchanges that not only deepen their bond but also utilize physical intimacy and nudity to evoke profound emotions, transforming moments of passion into catalysts for understanding and connection.
Silicone Skin is a nuanced queer love story that intertwines elements of science fiction and psychological drama, inviting readers to reflect on the nature of relationships in an increasingly artificial world. Through the exploration of autonomy and desire, the novel navigates the delicate interplay between authenticity and performance, urging readers to consider what it truly means to be seen and loved.
The showroom was an exercise in precision – sleek, minimalist, and too quiet, as though the entire space had been designed with the sole intention of not being noticed. The air smelled faintly of something engineered to be pleasant but not memorable – a fragrance that lingered without leaving a trace, like the scent of freshly printed paper. The smooth, sterile surface of the glass panels reflected back the world in a way that felt unreal, as if everything had been artificially arranged, including the people within it.
He stood near the entrance, feeling slightly out of place, his shoes clicking too loudly on the polished floor. The space felt oppressive in its perfection, every line and angle calculated to create a sense of inevitability. He should have turned back. Shouldn’t have walked in. But here he was, staring at a glossy sign that read: HELIO COMPANION SERIES – The Future of Connection. A smooth phrase that suggested promise but lacked substance.
Just curiosity, he told himself. But it had been weeks now – he kept thinking about it. About what it might be like. He knew Helio wasn’t the only game in town. Across the avenue, LumenCare promised Dignity at Scale for elder support; Axiom Domestic advertised homes that ran themselves; Vigilant’s matte-black chassis stood under a banner about safety. The categories were tidy – care, domestic, security, companionship. Same bodies, different scripts.
He had wandered through those showrooms before, but none of them stayed with him. Practical. Predictable. Helio was different. The one people spoke about with a kind of hush, like inevitability. If he was going to cross the line, it would be here.
A representative materialized from the corner, like an apparition conjured by his hesitation. She was young, dressed in the kind of effortless corporate chic that only someone with access to AI-assisted wardrobe optimization could pull off. Her smile was bright but balanced – friendly, but not too friendly. Just enough human.
"Good afternoon, sir. How may I assist you today?"
He cleared his throat, glancing around like he might find an escape route. "I’m just looking."
The representative didn’t falter, her smile unwavering. "Of course. Many of our clients prefer to take their time. Other manufacturers lock models to task verticals, Helio doesn’t silo. Our companions adapt across roles without reducing to an appliance. Most clients tell us they feel… extremely realistic.”
The last phrase was rehearsed to sound casual, like it wasn’t the point. “The decision to integrate a Helio Companion into your life is a deeply personal one."
"Right," he murmured, the words hanging heavier than expected. "Very personal." He adjusted his sleeve. The lighting didn’t forgive much.
"Would you like a demonstration?" she asked, her voice smooth, almost too practiced, as though it had been programmed to be persuasive without pressing.
He hesitated. Curiosity had dragged him this far – might as well let it finish the job.

Prehistoric Literary Fiction / Survival Adventure
Horizon is a gripping, immersive journey into the dawn of humanity, set against a world teeming with raw beauty and peril. Set hundreds of thousands of years ago, this novel follows Aru, a young man on a life-altering migration with his people, as they navigate the shifting landscapes of a vast, untamed wilderness. After tragedy fractures his group, Aru finds himself isolated, clinging to survival while facing the harsh elements, wild beasts, and the growing bond with Panu, another loner who becomes his closest companion.
As they struggle to protect a fragile newborn and learn to trust one another, Horizon explores the quiet strength of love, the complexity of human connection, and the limits of survival. In a world where every decision is critical and each day brings new challenges, Aru and Panu must confront the relentless drive to survive—not just the physical dangers of their environment but the emotional weight of what it means to be human.
Written with evocative prose, Horizon delves into the primal essence of existence, questioning what it means to care and to choose, even when survival seems impossible. A timeless, lyrical exploration of memory, loss, and what binds us to each other across time.
Hundreds of thousands of years ago, a boy named Aru climbed a tree.
He had noticed it earlier, the way one notices a stone that does not belong among other stones. They had passed it once on their way from the water, and again when the game lost its shape and became wandering. Each time, his legs had tightened with the same quiet pull. Not excitement exactly. Recognition.
The tree leaned away from the lake. Its trunk bent as if it had begun one thing and then changed its mind. The branches did not rise cleanly but stretched outward, uneven, reaching into thin air. No marks cut the bark. No broken twigs clung to it. It had not been used.
That mattered.
The children moved around it in noise and dust, feet scraping the dry ground, voices flaring and falling without aim. Someone slapped the trunk and laughed. Someone else shook their head and walked on. The adults were farther back, close enough to be seen if one looked for them, far enough to pretend they were not there.
Aru ran before the moment could close.
He jumped and caught the lowest branch with both hands. It dipped under his weight. Bark tore his skin as he pulled himself up. The pain was quick and bright. He breathed it in and climbed faster.
Behind him, the sound shifted. Feet followed. Laughter sharpened.
Some children stopped early, clinging close to the trunk. Others spread out along the branches, calling warnings that were half daring. One boy stayed below Aru, moving slowly, testing each hold before trusting it. His name was Bugs. Long ago he had eaten beetles and grubs without flinching, crunching them happily between his teeth. He did not do that anymore, but the name had stayed, as names did.
Get ready for an unforgettable journey into humanity's distant past. Horizon will be released digitally in 2026, available on platforms like Amazon Reads. Stay tuned for more details on how you can immerse yourself in this gripping tale of survival, connection, and the primal essence of human life.

A historical literary novel of love, power, and the making of myth.
